Not for emergencies

MediConsult SA is unsuitable for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing chest pain, severe bleeding, difficulty breathing, suspected stroke or any life-threatening condition, dial 10177 or attend your nearest emergency department.

Scope of remote consultations

Consultations follow HPCSA telemedicine guidelines. The treating practitioner may decline to prescribe or issue documents if the condition is unsuitable for a remote assessment. Schedule 5+ controlled medicines are not prescribed remotely.

Fees & refunds

The consultation fee is R250 per consultation. If a doctor is unable to complete your consultation for technical reasons, we will refund the fee in full.

Accuracy of information

You warrant that the medical history, medication list and identity information you provide are accurate. Withholding material information may compromise your care.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
